The Prince Akatoki, London

Posted 07 May 2020

We recently helped to light the 5 Star Prince Akatoki hotel, in the heart of the West End, London.

Did you know that the name Akatoki, comes from the Japanese word for sunrise? Lighting designers, Foundry London, used concealed dynamic lighting to mimic nature wherever possible. The bedrooms feature Dim to Warm technology, controlled via a DALI interface, using our CORAL120 9.6w flexible IP68 strip. A custom colour temperature of 1900k and 3000K was selected, to reflect the rising and setting of the sun.

We also helped to light The Prince Akatoki bar - which is a Japanese tea room by day and a low-lit intimate whiskey lounge by evening. Again, using our tunable white CORAL Flexistrip to provide optimum guest experience, which was delivered throughout the project by lighting designer, Foundry London's, attention-to-detail and craftsmanship.
